Another quarter has gone by and boat racing has been in full swing. It’s never looked better. The boats get faster and faster, the drivers are at the peak of their driving skills which makes for some excellent heats. There’s nothing better, than watching two boats, side by side, racing for the lead, and the boats never touch, or no one gets blown over, just pure exhilarated fun.

We have one GrandPrix series and two HighPoint races left in our schedule. The SOWEGA race scheduled for November 8th-9th has been cancelled. District Highpoint Series trophies will be given out at the ECMC Columbus Day Regatta in Summerville, South Carolina.

I went to the Internat’s in Michigan this July. I couldn’t get a boat up there, so I was purely a spectator. It was nice seeing a lot of people I haven’t seen in years, and catch up on their racing. There were a lot of impressive boats to watch and the Ford Model Boat Club did an excellent job. Anyway, I took pictures of the “People of
