2005 SOWEGA Grand Prix

We kicked off the 2005 racing in Sycamore with the first race in the Grand Prix series. We had 83 boats raced by 33 racers. The weather was good. We had good racing and great fun. It was good to see that participation was up some and we made all 14 classes without any problems. As usual, our largest classes were the LSG Mono's and the LSG Cat's, but we also had great participation in the Tunnel classes. We had to split the B and D tunnel because we had too many to run together. It was nice to see such good participation in the first race. Maybe this is an indication that we are going to have a good 2005 racing season. Many thanks to all who came and raced and also to everyone that helped in any way with the work that it takes to put on a race.
